There are just a few places left for Bristol Old Vics ever popular summer school so sign up now. Ever wanted to perform on Bristol Old Vic main stage? Heres your chance. Spend two fantastic weeks working with professional theatre directors, designers, stage managers and technicians, learning new skills, making new friends and creating a brand new piece of theatre to perform on the main stage of one of the UKs most dynamic theatres. There are two courses to choose from Acting course Over the course of two weeks participants will work in three age groups to devise, write, rehearse and perform a brand new piece of theatre for the Bristol Old Vic Main House stage. Along the way you will have the chance in both workshops and rehearsals to learn new skills in areas such as physical theatre, stage combat, devising and improvisation. Technical course Aimed at those interested in what goes on backstage. Over the two weeks, working with professional designers, technicians, wardrobe staff and stage managers, you will prepare the production for the stage designing, making and operating all areas of the show. Through this process you will be introduced to new skills, techniques and much of the equipment necessary to create a modern, professional production.
