Death comes to Guildford…

Unsuspecting shoppers and tourists in Guildford were alarmed yesterday to come face to face with Death himself.
There was no need to panic, though, as Death was only in town to promote his upcoming appearance in the world premiere of the new Terry Pratchett musical Mort.
Death (actually an 8-foot tall puppet engineered by artist Richard Johnstone) will be joined by 40 of the nation’s most talented young people - cast from auditions of over 1000 earlier this year and brought together by the award-winning Youth Music Theatre: UK for this exhilarating new musical.
After purchasing tickets at the Yvonne Arnaud Theatre and taking a stroll around the town centre to meet a few admirers, Death had a relaxing lunch in the picturesque Guildford Castle grounds.
Death appears in Terry Pratchett’s Mort between 20th - 23rd August at the Yvonne Arnaud Theatre, Guildford.
