Weekend workshops by the sea for every writer.

Royal Hotel, Deal, Kent.

These courses are for all writers who wish to develop their playwriting skills. They are also recommended to workshop leaders and tutors who wish to expand their methodologies.

Plays Personal, plays political.
Workshop leaders:
Noel Greig and Philip Osment

A great play can connect our personal lives, thoughts and experiences to the wider world: the local and particular becomes the universal, the personal becomes political.
This weekend course will explore how we can achieve this in our own work, through a mixture of practical exercises, reference to existing plays and tutor-led discussion. The work will cover such topics as subject-matter and theme, style and genre, and the development of story and character. By the end of the weekend you will have begun to develop an idea for you own new play.

Saturday October 25th 11.15- 18.30
Sunday October 26th 10.00- 18.00
Tuition fee £175
