FULL BODY AND THE VOICE is a successful, dynamic and evolving theatre company with a ten year track record in high quality touring productions and co-productions at leading theatres. Our learning disabled actors have worked in high profile theatres and on television and we have a new (soon to be accredited) two year ACTOR©scheme professional acting training course beginning in September.
The company is resident at the Lawrence Batley Theatre in Huddersfield. We have a successful Youth Theatre which works on a weekly basis with up to 60 young people with learning disabilities in both North and South Kirklees.
We are looking for two professionals who can deliver long term freelance contracts (3 evenings per week for 36 weeks in total) as session leader and support worker in theatre skills for our Youth Theatre. The posts work to an academic year timescale and would begin in late September 2008 finishing in July 2009.
We want highly organised and dedicated individuals with workshop leading experience and good time management skills. There is a limited amount of administration as the key element of the role is delivering high quality dynamic workshops to a range of young people who have been working with us for more than two years.
