Fresh from Cardinal Newman School, the young talent of Brighton and Hove are ready to roll out the laughs in two inspired new comedies.

“Semantic Assembly Presents Kinship” is a play-within-a-play following the mismatched theatre group Semantic Assembly as they stagger through the chaotic dress rehearsal for their new play ‘Kinship’. As lights fail and tempers become frayed, all seems set for disaster…but, as they say, the show must go on! Devised by Keira Heil, Mike Judson, Chris Matus and Amy Sutton, this play is ‘delightfully silly’ and guaranteed to keep you ‘truly entertained from start to finish’.

“Their Stagehands” is a complimentary piece made especially for this Pavillion performance. It is set in the same world as Semantic Assembly - but on the other side of the wings. Here we are given a humourous and human insight into the lives and dreams of the people who make the show possible. Devised by the comedy duo Ben Sutton and Nick Devlin of Dead Fish Productions, this piece will be making its world premiere and is not to be missed.

(Warning: plays contains strobe lighting and strong language.)

Both plays are at Brighton’s Pavilion Theatre on Friday 5 December. Click here to book tickets.
