Billy Elliot The Muscial; 2009 auditions

The Billy Elliot auditions are going to Newcastle in the next few weeks!

BOYS:
We are looking for boys aged 9 to 12 years to audition for the comedy role of MICHAEL. Max height 5ft.

Michael is a comedian and eventually has to tap dance, though we are willing to teach anyone who is suitable for the role. Tap is a bonus. No broken voices.

You should prepare a short poem or jokes to entertain and make us laugh.

Wear comfortable clothes and trainers but bring tap shoes if you have them. No lycra or leotards!

GIRLS:
We are looking for girls aged 9 to 11 years to audition for the role of DEBBIE. Must be from the North East.

Max height 4ft 8in. Some ballet skills are required. This is an acting audition though some girls may be required to dance.

    Grace auditioned in feb and got down to last 6.She would like to audition again but i have explained the chances of getting through are even slimmer.However she said the were the most fun audition she has done and would like to give it another go now she is 10 haha.Please can you let us know when they are in newcastle

    I am 13 and interested in auditioning for Billy Elliot. Would there be any chance in me auditioning for a Ballet girl of Debbie? Or am i too old for the role?
