Youth Music Theatre UK and RSAMD Dramaworks have developed a four-day course to develop the vocal training skills of leaders of young people's music theatre.

If you are involved in leading musical theatre with young people, in or out of school, this course has the answers for safe vocal training with young people in an inspiring and enjoyable way.

The course covers: physiology of the voice, breathing and teaching techniques, singing in performance and vocal function. There will be opportunity to consider the theory as well as explore the creative voice in practice; you will have a one-to-one session with one of the tutors and the culmination of the four days will be a music theatre masterclass.

Voice Works will be led by Lin Marsh and Christopher Breckenridge, eminent practitioners in this field.

YTMUK peopleThe full day workshops will take place in the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama in Glasgow on Friday 8 & Saturday 9 and Sunday 24 & Monday 25 January 2010. The cost for the course is £350.
